Advent 2024 Devotion: December 5

Scripture: 2 Samuel 7:16
¹⁶ And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you.
Your throne shall be established forever.

Devotion: The lineage of the Seed, promised in Genesis 3:15, was passed from Abraham to Isaac, to Jacob, to Judah and eventually to David. God's covenant with David promises an everlasting kingdom through his lineage. This promise is fulfilled in Jesus, who reigns forever as the Son of David.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your everlasting covenant. Help us to recognize Jesus as our eternal King and to worship Him with all our hearts. Amen..
