Advent 2024 Devotion: December 12

Scripture: Matthew 1:18
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

Devotion: The divine nature of the conception of Jesus points to God's intervention in human history to bring about our salvation and setting the stage for the fulfillment of His redemptive plan. Amidst the unexpected and challenging circumstances, both Mary and Joseph demonstrate faith and trust in God's plan, reminding us to embrace the miracle of Jesus' birth with wonder and gratitude, trusting in God's sovereignty and purpose for our lives.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the miracle of Jesus' birth. Help me to marvel at Your great love and to celebrate the miracle of Christmas with joy. Amen.
