Advent 2024 Devotion: December 14

Scripture: Matthew 2:1-2
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

Devotion: The birth of the Lord Jesus was a significant event that it came to divide history to BCE and AD. But it even back then, it was recognized by distant scholars, "wise men," who embarked on a journey of faith to honor Him. Their quest symbolizes the universal call to seek and worship Jesus, the true King. Their journey to worship Him encourages us to seek and honor Him in our lives. Do you seek  the Lord Jesus wholeheartedly, with their determination and devotion, following His light with wonder and reverence.

Prayer: Lord, guide us to seek You diligently and to honor You as our King. May our lives reflect worship and adoration for You. Amen.
