Advent 2024 Devotion: December 15

Scripture: Mark 6:41-44
41 And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all. 42 So they all ate and were filled. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. 44 Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.

Devotion: Jesus' miracle of feeding the 5,000 demonstrates His compassion and provision. Blessing the bread and distributing it reminds us that He is the Bread of Life who came into the world to meet our deepest need, being a relationship with our Creator. He meets our physical and spiritual needs, showing His care in every aspect of our lives. This Christmas, let us remember that Jesus offers us His abundant grace and sustenance. Let us share His blessings with others, spreading hope and love during this joyous season.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for providing for our needs. Help us to trust in Your provision and to share Your love and compassion with others. Amen.
