Giving

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

- Matthew 6:21

Why we give.

Scripture teaches that our giving to His church and ministry is an act of worship. This is why we see giving as an important aspect of our Christian life. But more than that. At KCC, we strive to be a worshiping, learning (growing), loving, evangelizing Church.

1. Therefore, giving is not merely an act of worship,
2. It is also an act of growing in the Lord as we learn to trust Him with our finances.
3. It is an act of love that allows us to minister to those in our Church Body and our Community.
4. Finally, it is also an act that enables evangelism, locally and globally.
We desire to steward these resources to see our community come to know the Lord and experience His love and forgiveness.

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-7

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 6:19-21

For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints.
