Galatians 4 — The New Covenant of Grace

While the Old Covenant of Law is represented by Hagar, the bond woman, and earthly Jerusalem, the New Covenant of Grace is symbolized by Sarah, the free woman, and the heavenly Jerusalem. While Hagar birthed Ishmael according to the flesh, Sarah supernaturally birthed Isaac, according to God’s promise.
